Panic Party

It seems that summer has set in and we're transitioning into a phase of "Are we actually going to DO this?" Yep, having a little panic party over here lately.  I felt so excited and at peace about this decision just a few weeks ago, but since school let out my nerves have worn thin.  I think part of my anxiety began as I went through all the journals and other items that came home from this past school year.  Here's a page from her French journal:

The rabbit watches the shark eat some fish.
(Have I mentioned she's shark-obsessed lately?)

Seriously, am I really going to take her away from that?  I mean, I can't do that, can I?  Is she going to lose all that French she learned these past two years?

So, I had a bit of a freak out. I started thinking of all the things I couldn't do.  All the things I wanted to do but knew we wouldn't have time for.  All the ways our lives were going to be miserable.

Then, a couple of days later, I found this in my hallway:

There are a lot more of these guys now, too.  She just decided to turn our hall into some kind of animal encyclopedia.  Here's a close-up on one of her favorites:

Don't speak Ella?  It says, "Snakes molt when their skin is too tight."  She put something unique about each animal.  And you know what?  I didn't have to do a thing.

I think we're going to be just fine.
