Blog Hop: Student Photo Week

It's student photo week at HOTM's Not-Back-to-School Blog Hop.   I've been having some upload issues with blogger, so let's cross our fingers that this posts today.  I wanted to let them run around outside and take pictures of each other, but of course some storms just don't know when they aren't wanted and keep coming back for more of my insults.  Also, I planned to let them include some teacher mama photos, since I believe the one from my sidebar is several years old (back when I was pregnant with Harper, I think).  Alas, I'm having a bad hair year week.  This is what you get.

I had to take their pictures while they were either snacking or writing to get non-blurry photos of them.  You know, a body in motion and all that.  So, you get them stuffing their faces or writing with dry erase markers, one of the few things they'll sit still for.

 Ella - Age 6 (7 next month!)

Harper - age 2 1/2

Next week at Heart of the Matter is Day-in-the-Life Week.  That should be lots of fun!

  1. I want to see a current mama picture!

plus also - your babies are CUTE! And I love their names.

My kids love the dry-erase markers too, but they don't sit neatly and write like civilized people, so I make them strip to their underwear before they are allowed to use them. I had a bad laundry experience one time, so I'm a meanie now.

  2. Ha! Maybe I'll get fancied up and have someone take my picture this weekend. Although I've sworn off makeup, so I'm warning you . . . it won't be a pretty sight!

Oh, I feel your pain! I usually have the little one wear an old stained t-shirt to use them. We had a wall *accident* with the markers several months ago. Let me tell you, nothing gets that stuff off the walls without removing paint.

But I found WASHABLE ones earlier this month!!!! The world is once again good. :)

  4. Adorable girls!

It's funny how moms never have current photos of themselves--we're always the ones taking the pictures, not posing for them! I'm looking forward to getting a new driver's license this year--my last photo was taken while I was pregnant, puffy, and hadn't had a haircut in months!
