You might think of this as more of a spring/summer activity, but I really liked the idea of making sun tea on the first cool day of fall. The girls ran around the yard commenting on how they were freezing, so it worked well to show them that even though the air felt cool, the sun still provided plenty of energy to brew our tea.
While I'm not overly fond of the super-sweet herbal teas, the girls loved the fruit variety pack (caffeine-free, of course). They picked out a wild berry mix, and three cups of water and two tea bags made the perfect amount for us.
And if you're gonna make tea, you have to have a tea party!
With fancy hats, of course.
And post-tea party snuggle/reading time.
