I am completely counting Halloween survival today.
Actually, I did a little more than survive. I spent the day making crayons for the little ones (forgot to take a picture, they're melted crayons poured into plastic candy molds - mummies and creepy fingers . . . so cute). Plus, I made a ton of gluten, dairy, and egg-free chocolate chip pecan pumpkin bread.
Tasty stuff. Made four loaves of it, so now we have plenty for breakfasts. Yum! So I guess I actually did something after all.
In other news, Ella carved the pumpkin this year!!!
Her sister helped by playing disc golf nearby.
And here is Harper modeling the completed costume from last week.
Ella decided to be original and wore the exact same costume she wore last year. Can't blame her. It looks awfully comfy. Like a velvety pajama dress.
And this is the crew we hit the streets with each year. We actually had an extra this year (she fit in so well with our group, too), but these are the cousins. There are more cousins, but they live in another part of the state, so this is the group we normally have for holidays and family gatherings (this is South Louisiana, every other weekend is a family gathering). Yes we only grow girls here. And my sister is pregnant. Wanna take bets we'll have another girl in this crowd next year?
Not that you need another pumpkin picture, but you have to see the back.
This is the front . . .
. . . and this is the back. It has a tail and . . .
. . . eyes behind his head! Get it? That kid cracks me up.
Happy November to all!
