Like everyone else around here, we're taking turns fighting off one brand of sick or another. Probably a mild case of the flu, because everyone we know seems to have it. But nothing severe on our end, so our care plan consists of lots of homemade soup and snuggles. At least I won't have to attend a truancy meeting this year because we don't have an "official" dr.'s excuse. :)
We had a slow return to school, easing ourselves into some changes in how we do things (seriously, I have got to get that post up on all of that soon), and taking some extra time to read, knit(ella)/sew(me), and play. Until I can get around to getting my head straight for a proper post, here are a few of the things that are warming my heart this winter.
Tree blocks from Monkeys on the Roof inside the girls' wheelbarrow.
My new sewing machine. (Thanks, babe!)
Scheduling time every week to sew now.
After making Harper's crown, I whipped up this cover for the machine.
Why yes, I hate ironing. Why do you ask?
Before Harper got sick.
Ella's first day of feeling better.
A girl and her sweet old dog.
Best. Stuff. Ever.
