Meet the Girls

I meant to update the girls' pictures this summer.  I meant to do a lot of things this summer.  Then I meant to post this Monday.  Meh.  Life happened.

I'm very excited to introduce to you . . . .

My Girls . . .

Meet Ella:
Our 3rd Grader

(I'll let her tell you about herself.  This is the bio note she wrote for her reading & writing group.  I'm still chuckling.  It's so "Ella.")

I am seven years old.  (She's almost eight now.)  I am very active and intelligent.  My favorite food is sushi.  I have short blond hair mixed with red.  My favorite subject is form drawing.  My favorite color is pink.  I have a little sister and two parents.  My favorite book is How to Raise and Keep a Dragon.  My job is to help.  I am homeschooled.  I have a loving cat named Lola.

Love that girl.  She left out that she loves bugs and snakes and dinosaurs and anything that creeps her mama out.  She's a fiery one, but she can spend hours reading quietly or making her own field guides or stories.

This is how you'll usually find her.

Meet Harper:

That picture just about says it all.  Except she's not wearing her pink tutu skirt.  She's a girly girl who loves pink and purses.  She's loud and funny, but if you look at her slightly sideways she'll melt away in a puddle of tears.  At 3 1/2, she's already given me plenty of scares as the resident monkey of the family, but she's also quite the snuggler.

  1. Adorable, Michelle!
Lovin the paragraph and the SUNGLASSES!

  2. I know, right? I wish I looked that fab in sunglasses! hehe
