It's an exercise in letting go.
And redefining learning.

In addition to creating winter crafts and learning new Christmas songs in French and on the piano, I'm trying to let go and include more fun in our month.
Sure, we're doing some math review, but we're also making puzzles during football games,

and learning some new moves with Wii Just Dance Kids,
(love this game for cold, rainy days)

and making books with the new typewriter.

A fantastic garage sale find!
Seriously, she's been typing books and spelling words and anything else she can think of.
I highly recommend a typewriter if you can find a cheap, used one.

And, of course, we made time for watching Elf,

and drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows and sprinkles!

And laughter.

Lots and lots of laughter.

May your December be filled with chocolate and smiles as well.

  1. It all sounds wonderful!

A typewriter! I never thought of that!

Enjoy this time together! Merry Christmas!

  2. Looks like lots of lagniappe! :)
The month is zipping past...Merry Christmas, already!
    Hope it's full of JOY!
