Get To Know You Round-Robin

Since I'm relaunching the site this week, I figured this would also be a good time to reintroduce myself and the rest of my crew.   To start off, you can read 10 Things I Think You should Know About Me over at The Homeschool Classroom.   I also updated our About Us page last week, so if you're new here you might want to check that out.  For all of you who do know me (and for those of you who don't), I figured I'd throw in a few completely random non-homeschool-related bonus facts.

But don't let me have all the fun!  Share a random fact about yourself in the comments, so we can all get to know each other a little better.

My favorite place

1.  I am not a fan of cake (including cupcakes) or s'mores.  I do not apologize for that.

2.  I'm a geek girl.  Not only can I play D&D (I first learned to play with my dad, aunt, uncle, and grandmother), but I can also run (or GM, or DM if you're old school) a game.  And I do, occasionally, for my husband and kids.

3.  I have a weakness Sour Patch Kids, Shock Tarts, and all things tart & tangy; however, my all-time favorite snack is a big bowl of popcorn with sea salt and coconut oil.

4.  I performed in a drum corps during the summer of '95.  We didn't win, but I did a lot of push-ups and ate more peanut butter and jelly sandwiches than you can imagine.  Fun times.

5.  Love me some Janis Joplin.  I grew up listening to Steppenwolf; Peter, Paul, and Mary; Jim Croce; Lionel Richie; and the Supremes.  Definitely an eclectic beginning, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Now it's your turn!  Share one totally random fact about yourself in the comments section below.

  1. Um? I can touch my nose with my tongue.

    1. See . . . another reason we get along. ;-)

  2. Okay!

    1) I don't understand people who don't like cake, first of all.

    2) I put sea salt on ice cream. And both salt and pepper on cantaloupe.

    3) I like Old Time Radio and listen to it every night as I go to sleep. Joe Friday and Dragnet make me happy.

    1. Don't worry, Deb. I save my sweet tooth for brownies. I'm not completely freakish.

My mom and my aunts do that, and they put salt on watermelon. They say it makes it sweeter.

Thanks for visiting my site! I love hearing from readers, and I do my best to answer all questions here in the comments section. Thanks for reading and commenting!
